The BELfund offers training in Enterprise Management, which includes Financial Education training. The Enterprise Management Training curriculum focuses on providing participants with the necessary skills to initiate and sustain a micro business.
It encompasses activities that expose participants to the realities of the business environment and provides the required skills to develop and maintain sustainable businesses.
The training component of this project takes a holistic approach to enterprise development. The Enterprise Management Training is compulsory for all loan beneficiaries, to the point that no funds will be disbursed if the clients fail to participate in the training programme.
Independent persons wishing to participate in the BELfund’s training programme are welcomed to do so for a fee. Training fees are determined and arranged by BELfund and are inclusive of training material, meals and break.
The training is conducted over a four to five (4 – 5) day period and covers the following topics;
- Marketing & Selling Techniques
- Managing People and Customer Relations
- Costing & Pricing / Accounting & Record Keeping
- Financial Education
Training is provided by competent, knowledgeable and experienced BELfund training officers who facilitate the Training, which utilizes a participatory training methodology and adopts practical step-by-step facilitation to allow participants to share experiences. Training tools such as brainstorming, lectures, discussions, exercises, case studies and role play are used to encourage participation and enhance learning.
